I’ve had the pleasure to train with Jamie for about 5 months now. In these past months I’ve seen a big difference with my body. My muscle tone has increased and my form has improved so much! He has excellent knowledge in nutrition and is very attentive to your form to ensure you are learning and lifting properly! Jamie really gets to know your goals in the gym. I began working with Jamie two years ago in preparation for the Miss San Diego pageant. Prior to working with Jamie I was a college athlete and had worked with other personal trainers on the east coast – however, when we first started working together I was coming off a yearlong hiatus following a surgery and a move to San Diego.

My goals were multifaceted; there was the obvious aesthetic goals of toning up, losing some weight, and evening out my body proportions that were driven by the upcoming competition. However, more importantly I also had functional fitness goals including increasing strength, mobility and balance.

Jamie tailored my workouts to take into account all of my goals, but with the primarily focus on health. He was also very conscious of my weaknesses due to previous injuries and my surgery, and modified my workouts to accommodate for that until I was strong/recovered enough to do them unmodified.

My body is very prone to plateauing, and I need to constantly change up the type of workouts I am doing in order to see results. Keeping that in mind, Jamie always came up with fun, and varying workouts to incorporate that kept me moving forward towards my goals. I never felt like I hit a plateau for long while working with him, and I have never seen such a drastic change in my body. I am ecstatic to finally have abs, be able to lift more weight than I ever have, have increased stamina, and to do a pushup properly (believe me, the last one was harder to achieve for me than it sounds).

Not only is Jamie able to produce the end results, but he is also constantly expanding his knowledge on health and fitness, which I think is a benefit when working with him long term. With previous trainers, I felt there was a time I had outgrown them, or learned all I could from them. Because Jamie is dynamic in his approach, I do not see that ever being the case. I am constantly learning new things and exercises from him even two years later.

Since working with him, I won the Miss San Diego title, the Miss California 2018 Swimsuit Competition, the Miss World America title, and the Miss World 2018 Sports Challenge, and Top 30 at Miss World. None of which I feel I could have done without him. The swimsuit award was a measure of my aesthetic body, while the sports competition tested my functional fitness. Succeeding in both was only possible because of Jamie’s ability to balance both of my goals (aesthetic and functional) simultaneously.

I’ve been working with Jamie for 9 months now and my body has changed dramatically. Jamie and I have pushed each other the whole way! He’s very personable will cater each workout to your specific goals. I have been training with Jamie for almost a year now and it’s been such an amazing experience! He is an extremely knowledgeable, passionate, and determined trainer who has worked alongside me to help me reach my goals. He comes to the gym ready to work and is fully energized, no matter what time of day it is! I have been working with Jamie for more than 3 months now and I truly love our time together. As a petite person, I didn’t have to work out to stay in shape. It wasn’t until I gave birth to my son who is now 4 years old. After childbirth, I noticed that I got more fatigue keeping up with a toddler. Working with Jamie has helped me improve my health considerably. I feel stronger, more alert and have lost 8 pounds and kept it off in just a few months. I was looking for a trainer who could help me recover my strength and vigor after an illness and lack of real exercise for over a year. Jamie was the perfect match for me as demonstrated by the progress over the last 8 months or so. I showed up with muscle atrophy and a frozen shoulder and he knew exactly what to do so that I would continue at a pace that would show dramatic results in a relatively short time.
